The vast majority of tourists want to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, which is not a bad thing, of course, but it creates a certain barrier between us. Drugi post z cyklu, testowanie krakowskich śniadaniowni.
Kropka utworzyła u siebie dodatkowy koncept Pora. Wiedzieliśmy już, że Kropka jest bardzo dobra, więc jej śniadaniową wersja była raczej pewniakiem. I mieliśmy rację. Muszę powiedzieć, że ostatnio sam jak i wiele ludzi w internecie narzekaliśmy na obsługę. W wielu miejscach człowiek czuję się jak przysłowiowe “piąte koło u wozu”. Tutaj absolutnie tego nie mogę powiedzieć. Dziewczyna z obsługi była super! Ja wziąłem klopsiki w curry na toście, z zieleniną, a Ewa “Awanturkę”, czyli jajko na miękko, pastę z makreli i ogórki z sosem chili crunch. Na deser naleśniki, bardzo fajna porcja. Wszystko bardzo dobre!

Dzisiaj udało nam się przetestować miejsce, w którym ostatnio byliśmy tylko na kawę. Nie jest to byle jakie miejsce, synagoga Kupa przy ulicy o tej samej nazwie.
Zamówiliśmy kanapki z serem za 50 zł za sztukę. Nawet jak na krakowską dzielnicę Kazimierz cena jest wysoka. Oczekiwania również. Niestety, forma przeważa nad treścią. W środku dużo cebuli i pora, wszystko śliskie i średnio smaczne. Niestety nie możemy polecić tego miejsca, ponieważ w promieniu zaledwie 300 metrów znajduje się wiele innych restauracji serwujących smaczniejsze śniadania.

The place is no small thing, Kupa Synagogue on the street of the same name.
We ordered cheese sandwiches for 50 PLN apiece. Even for Krakow’s Kazimierz, the price is high. Expectations also. Unfortunately, form over substance. A lot of onion and leek in the middle, all slimy and moderately tasty. Z okazji moich urodzin udało nam się w końcu odwiedzić nową restaurację Kropka. Stara, przy Rynku Podgórskim, była bardzo dobra, ale niestety strasznie śmierdziało z kuchni. Teraz przy ulicy Dietla, w eleganckim budynku, jest czysto i schludnie. Bardzo ładny szyld, stroje kelnerów, od razu widać, że wszystko jest dobrze przemyślane. Skorzystaliśmy z oferty drinków, spróbowaliśmy prawie wszystkich dostępnych i mogę je śmiało polecić, chociaż nie do końca odpowiadają mojemu gustowi. Jeśli chodzi o jedzenie, było bardzo dobre, tak jak w starej Kropce. Szczególnie smakował mi kurczak w chrupiącej panierce. Później przeczytałem recenzje i muszę się z nimi zgodzić, że w dzisiejszych czasach w Krakowie bardzo dobre nie wystarczy. Musi być idealne, żeby ktoś chciał tu od razu wrócić. Tutaj tak nie jest, ale i tak warto. 7/10

On the occasion of my birthday, we finally managed to visit the new restaurant Kropka. The old one, on Rynek Podgórski, was very good, but unfortunately it stank terribly from the kitchen. Now on Dietla Street, in an elegant building, it’s clean and tidy. Very nice signboard, waiters’ merchandise, you can see right away that everything is well thought-out. We took advantage of the drinks on offer, we tried almost all the drinks that were available and I can confidently recommend them, although they are not exactly my style. As for the food, it was very good, just like at the old Dot. The chicken in a crispy coating was particularly good. I read the reviews later and I have to agree with them that very good nowadays in Krakow is not enough. It has to be perfect for a person to want to come back here right away. That’s not here but it’s still worth it. 7/10

Kiedy podróżuje po różnych krajach najbardziej lubię porównywać jakość usług turystycznych do tych w Polsce, a szczególnie do tych, które sam oferuje. Chyba już tak mamy, że lubimy się porównywać i mieć jakiś punkt odniesienia.
Skorzystałem z wycieczki jednodniowej na Malcie. Wycieczka na wyspę Gozo. Zarezerwowaliśmy ją bezpośrednio na stronie organizatora. Robię tak, bo sam wiem jakie prowizję płacę pośredniczącym platformą.
Zarezerwowane i opłacone, dostałyśmy potwierdzenie. Następnego dnia czekamy w wyznaczonym miejscu o wyznaczonej godzinie i co, nie ma nikogo.
Moja ekipa mocno zdenerwowana, ale uspokajam wszystkich, ze spóźnienia to normalna rzecz.
Po pół godziny dzwonimy do biura firmy turystycznej.
Zapomnieli o nas. Po następnych pół godziny przyjeżdża busik. W Polsce takim wozimy ziemniaki na pole, kierowca nie mówi po angielsku i jego prezentacja to pan z PKS z lat 90.
Po chwili okazuję się, że brakuje następnych ludzi. Kierowca wraca po nich, tracąc następne pół godziny. Ludzie w busie są już mocno zirytowani.
Ja nie mówię, że u nas takie rzeczy się nie zdarzają ale od początku.
Zawsze sprawdzam czy mamy wszystkie rezerwację w wewnętrznej aplikacji, a że każdy może się pomylić to sprawdza to jeszcze po mnie pracownik.
Do wszystkich ludzi wysyłam dzień przed wycieczką wiadomość na WhatsApp ewentualnie mail, ze wszystkimi potrzebnymi informacjami. Turyści mają dzięki temu numer do biura i do kierowcy.
no robią też nasi “driverzy”. Czyli każda czynność jest podwajana.
Kierowca i van to nasz główny wkład w wycieczkę, taki mówiący po angielsku to absolutna podstawa, musi też dobrze wyglądać, ja osobiście stawiam na młodych chłopaków bo z takimi się lepiej dogaduję.
Busik musi być nowoczesny i komfortowy. Nasze wszystkie auta spełniają te wymogi.
Podsumowując, nasze usługi to profesjonalnie podejście do tematu. Bardzo wysoka jakość w przystępnej cenie.

When traveling to different countries, I like to compare the quality of tourist services to those in Poland, especially those that I offer myself. I guess it’s just human nature to like to compare ourselves and have a point of reference.
I took advantage of a one-day trip to Malta. A trip to the island of Gozo. We booked it directly on the organizer’s website. I do this because I know how much commission I pay to intermediary platforms.
Booked and paid for, we received confirmation. The next day, we wait at the designated place at the designated time, and what do you know, there’s no one there.
My group is very upset, but I reassure everyone that delays are normal.
After half an hour, we call the travel agency’s office.
They forgot about us. After another half hour, a minibus arrives. In Poland, we use these to transport potatoes to the fields. The driver doesn’t speak English, and his appearance is reminiscent of a bus driver from the 1990s.
After a while, it turns out that some people are missing. The driver goes back to pick them up, wasting another half hour. The people on the bus are already very annoyed.
I’m not saying that things like this don’t happen in our country, but from the very beginning.
I always check if we have all the reservations in the internal application, and since anyone can make a mistake, an employee checks it again after me.
The day before the trip, I send everyone a message on WhatsApp or email with all the necessary information. This gives tourists the number for the office and the driver.
Our drivers do the same. So every task is duplicated.
The driver and van are our main contribution to the trip. It is essential that the driver speaks English and looks good. Personally, I prefer young guys because I get along better with them.

Jest to miejsce dla wszystkich zainteresowanych sztuką ludową, które z biegiem lat stało się najważniejszym ośrodkiem działalności Felicji Curyło (1904-1974). Dom artystki już za jej życia był propagatorem tej miejskiej sztuki ludowej. Była ona wybitną malarką wnętrz, malującą zewnętrzne ściany domów mieszkalnych. Kuchenki, naczynia, a ostatecznie okna wokół kuchenki były malowane motywami kwiatowymi, aż zaczęto malować całe powierzchnie domów. Marvel at miracles of nature, such as the amazing Club of Hercules rock formation, and visit Pieskowa Skala castle to admire one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in Poland. Now home to a branch of the Wawel Royal Castle, Pieskowa Skala was built by King Casimir III in the first half of the 14th century and is stunningly situated on the edge of a limestone cliff.
Next, visit the wooden Chapel of St. Joseph (“Chapel on Water”) and see the ruins of the Gothic castle in Ojców. Admire the beautiful surroundings of Ojców National Park before the return journey to Kraków.

Horse Riding by the lake 🐴

Zakopane – Dog Sledding Adventure🏇
After picking you up from your hotel in Krakow we will head to the south of Poland. Our destination is 50 km from Kraków, a picturesque mountain village close to the border with Slovakia, situated in the fascinating natural wilderness of the Tatra Mountains.
Once we have arrived, we will visit a husky reserve where we will play with these friendly animals. The staff at the centre will show us how to prepare the harnesses and all the necessary materials to operate the sleds. You will also be shown how to drive the one form of transport that’s perfectly adapted to the frozen terrain of the Tatra mountains.
After the instruction presentation, you’ll be ready to try it for real. Accompanied by your instructor, who will drive, you will take a ride on your husky dog sled.
We finish the journey back at the husky dog sanctuary. From there we will return you to your hotel in Krakow.
